My main banner is not displaying correctly on any pages within module mod_latestnews (it is ok for everything else).

When I look at properties of the main banner image in mod_latest news it is:
[sitename]/news/templates/pp_joomlapraise/images/banner.png

The properties of the main banner on all other pages is:
[sitename]/templates/pp_joomlapraise/images/banner.png

The difference is no 'news' suffix (?) when the banner displays correctly.

There isn't a 'news/template/etc...' folder in the CMS.

Any tips on how to fix this?

Template is pp_joomlapraise

[Please excuse mis-use of jargon, I'm a relative newbie to Joomla]

Hi, I'm assuming you found an old version of our template on another site, please try the latest:

Hi Kyle,

That is the version of the template I'm using - I re-installed it earlier to check, and try to get rid of the problem. Any other ideas?

Thanks

Can you post or PM me a link so I can check it out?

Hi Kyle,

The URL for the main site is http://www.jee-llc.com

Here you can see how the banner should display.

If you click on one of the links under the homepage heading 'Transactions & News' it takes you to a news item within mod_latestnews

Here the banner doesn't display properly.

Or just click on this link to see: http://www.jee-llc.com/news/73-test-news-2

If you look at the properties of the banner on this page (and all other articles within mod_latestnews) you will see its URL is different from the URL when the banner displays properly.

Thanks a lot.

It's bc you're using SEF and your path to your image isn't looking in the right place when you're in a category.
Just change you banner image url from
Code:
templates/pp_joomlapraise/images/banner.png

to
Code:
/templates/pp_joomlapraise/images/banner.png

all we're doing by adding a slash is telling it to start from the root of your site instead of where you currently are

Hi Kyle,

Just one (simple!) question. How/where do I make that change?

Thanks again.

I'm guessing you just have a regular Joomla module in the banner image, which uses html. If not, let me know which module you're using in the banner position

I've just replaced the Joomla default banner with my own image (named banner.png) so yes, it's the default.

Thanks

I'd recommend just going to Modules, and creating a New > Custom HTML module, in which you can insert an image and tweak the html instead of using the banner component
