Hi, I've tried to get rid of the modified by,print, pdf icons etc. I know usually you just go into global configurations and change the paramaters. I have already done this but nothing has changed. I've looked through everything and can't figure out how to get rid of it. I don't need any of these at all on my website. Can anyone help? thanks

After you change there parameters in the global settings, you also have to make sure all the parameters on your individual menu items are set to "Use Global", for instance, go to Menus > Main Menu, and edit your Home link: on the right under Parameters (Component) there are lots of settings not using your global settings when you install sample data with Joomla.
